Building a Legacy

Edward W. Napleton, opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic, and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.


Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise, and when that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.

Mr. Ed Napleton has received numerous awards in his automotive career from a variety of manufacturers. These awards include but are not limited to several Chrysler Five-Star Awards, Acura's Precision Team Dealer of Excellence, Hyundai's Board of Excellence and Porsche Premier Dealer. Automotive News ranked Napleton Automotive Group 17 out of 150 best dealerships for new car sales in 2019. Napleton Automotive Group was ranked the Number 1 automotive group in Illinois! In addition, we were also recognized by Pied Pier as the number one group for online responses!

Partners With Our Community

We are partners with our community and as an employee, you will get a chance to give back as well. We partner with many local organizations, charities, and events with the goal of supporting our local community and the less fortunate.

Champaign Urbana School Foundation


Napleton’s Auto Park of Urbana partnered with the Champaign Urbana School Foundation in order to grant six of the best nominated teachers $1,000! The award was given to one teacher from every grade level at each district, and the winner was announced at the Teach of the Year Ceremony.


Jeeps on the Run


Napleton’s Arlington Heights Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM participates in Jeeps on the Run every year around Christmas time. Hundreds of Jeep drivers hit the road in an effort to support the Toys for Tots campaign. Jeeps on the Run takes off from Napleton's Arlington Heights Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM parking lot on a mission to supply toys to children in need.

Car Show Extravaganza


Napleton’s Oak Lawn Honda hosts an annual USO Event called the Car Show Extravaganza where people from all over the area bring in unique cars and participate in contests. All of the proceeds for this event go directly to the USO and in 2016 this event made more than $10,000.


Flint Water Drive


Napleton Automotive Group organized a water drive for the residents in Flint, Michigan. The group urged their communities to help by donating bottled water to the 100,000 people in Flint who were in the midst of a water crisis. The organizer of the event, Brian Napleton, collected over 25,000 bottles of water that were donated from Napleton employees and customers, and personally delivered them to Flint, Michigan himself.

March of Dimes


Napleton Automotive Group participates in the March of Dimes walk and sponsors this event annually. We also donate vehicles for the parade, and fly in employees from all of our dealerships to participate in the 5k!


Silver Spurs Rodeo


Napleton’s Kissimmee Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM sponsors the semi-annual Silver Spurs Rodeo in Osceola County. This event features bull riding, bareback racing, team roping and much more!
